#Navigating LIfe

#Navigating Life

Poh-Sun Goh

We are born. And we ‘will’ die.

There is an inevitability, and finality to this (outcome).

What we do not know is the exact time we die. And how long we have (to live).

Who and what we leave behind.

What is written, and said (about us).

What we can choose, is how we spend our time, attention, energies and efforts whilst we are alive. And healthy.

What we spend our time, attention, resources on, on a regular basis, who and where we commit (to), becomes who and what we are.

(Every man should) plant a tree, have a child, and write a book. These all live on after us, insuring a measure of immortality.

– attributed to the Talmud and Jose Martí, Cuban revolutionary and poet
